Hi Friend!
I’m Patty Gallardo. A Christian, homeschool, working mom from Greenville, South Carolina. And I’m so glad you’re here. I know the mental load you're carrying. The school assignments. The meal planning. Plus, the appointments, the birthdays, the activities that need prepping by Monday. The thousand tiny decisions that live in your head and never quite quiet down.
For a long time, I carried all of it the hard way, until I started experimenting with simple AI tools that could take some of it off my plate. And something shifted. I wasn't doing less of the things that mattered. I was doing more of them, because I'd finally handed off the busywork. That was my own lightbulb moment, and it's the one I want to give you.
That's what Lumen Living means to me: living a little lighter, with a little more knowledge, and a lot more peace. Lumen is a measure of light and light is exactly what I hope to bring to something that feels confusing or scary right now.
Here's what I want you to know: I'm not here to replace the analog ways you love. The handwritten notes, the game nights, the family read-alouds, keep all of it. Those things are sacred, and no app or tool will ever do them better. What I want to do is enhance the rest. The logistics. The planning. The mental clutter. The stuff that drains you before lunch.
As a Christian family, we believe in stewarding what we've been given, our time, our home, our gifts, well. To me, that includes using good tools wisely so there's more margin for our families, our faith, and the things that matter most. Technology isn't the enemy of a slow, intentional home. Used on our terms, it can protect the very things we're trying to make room for.
Here's the part that surprises people: this isn't a hobby I stumbled into. I've spent 15+ years in marketing, and I currently serve as Senior Vice President at a marketing agency, where I've led work for clients like Nickelodeon, Progressive Insurance, NAPA Auto Parts, and Discover South Carolina. Day in and day out, my job is to make complicated things clear, solve real problems, and use the best tools available to get more done with less. I've simply turned those same skills toward something close to my heart: helping moms and families do the same at home.
I love finding a challenge and coming up with a solution. That's the whole heart of what I do here: I take the things weighing you down, and I show you a simpler, brighter way. One tool, one small win, one freed-up afternoon at a time.
If you're curious but nervous, you're exactly who I made this for. Let's start small, together and let a little light in.
